Our little cabin is conveniently located near the South Higgins Lake State Park. Behind the WoodShed is within easy walking distance of all the Park's facilities.

  • We are located ½ mile east of the South State Park entrance on County Road 100. From the lake, we are located next to the east border of the Park.
  • Following the lakeshore, the Park's picnic area, playground, park store and boat launch are all within a 5-minute walk.
  • The South Higgins Lake State Park store provides a few grocery essentials, a yummy ice cream shop for the kids as well as pontoon and fishing boat rentals.
  • There are also several restaurants, grocery stores and gift shops in the immediate area as well as great places to visit in Houghton Lake, Roscommon and Grayling.
